Podcasting

What is Podcasting?

Podcasting is a way of publishing sound files to the Internet, that allows users to receive new audio files automatically. You can think of this like an audio version of a magazine subscription. You sign up for the service and then when new features are posted on this site, the files will automatically download to your computer and/or portable MP3 player.

What do I need?

First of all you DON'T need an iPod although that is where podcasting gets it's name. What you do need is a piece of software called a podcast receiver. Some of the most commonly used podcast receivers appear below.

iTunes: the #1 music download store and jukebox software, now makes podcasting as easy as iPod..

iPodder: iPodder is free and works with Windows XP, Mac OSX, and Linux.

iPodderX: iPodderX is designed for the Mac. There is a "Lite" version which is free as well as a premium version available for a fee.

Subscribe to Our Podcast

With your podcast receiver installed you just supply the following URL to your podcast receiver, Simply copy & paste the URL to your podcast receiver.

Your podcast receiver will then automatically check our site for updates every time you run it. If you have a portable MP3 player (like an iPod) you can even configure your podcast receiver to transfer the files directly to your player and take them with you. Consult the help files for your individual program for details.
