#19 – Forkner – J. Martin and Brett Smith

Download Episode!

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner may have surprised some last summer, but he is already backing up his impressive outdoor rookie season, including his first overall podium in at Muddy Creek. We’ll get his thoughts on the racing and more with another year of experience this time around.

GEICO Honda’s Jeremy Martin had a devastating DNF the very first moto of the season but has bounced back an overall win and is currently sitting 3rd in the points. Jeremy has overcome much more in his career and we fully expect him to be challenging for the title all the way to the final lap at the season-ending Ironman round.

Brett Smith is a phenomenal writer. His pieces are labors of love and his current one about to drop documenting the darkest day in motocross may be his best yet. Brett takes on the challenge of telling and sourcing the heart-wrenching story when three young motocross prodigies were killed when their car was struck by a train in 1982 not far from the track at Ponca City. He will be on to detail the long odyssey of bringing this story to light.

Travis Pastrana and his traveling Nitro Circus World Games are heading back to Salt Lake City this weekend for another round of the action sports insanity that only his crew and invited athletes could bring. It’s always fun catching up with Travis and we cover all of that and his return to NASCAR this fall.

RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing’s Justin Bogle hit the reset button on his entire career and moved to Florida to train at Camp Carmichael. His results this summer, including the impressive moto win in Colorado shows his hard work and rededication is paying off. Justin talks about that hard decision to uproot everything he’s ever known in Oklahoma to jumpstart his career and more. Real talk went down, folks.
