Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Zach Osborne began his 250 title defense with an impressive overall win at the opening round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at Hangtown. He had a benchmark year in his career and we’ll get his thoughts on all of that and the big win on Saturday.

Monster Energy/Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Aaron Plessinger is a breath of fresh air in the sport and won the 250SX West Region Championship his way. His lighthearted personality and permanent smile have certainly resonated with the fans. We always enjoy catching up and have a lot to cover tonight.

Travis Pastrana has set the bar so many times it should just be called, “Setting the Pastrana.” He has once again captured the interest of the world with his latest plans to recreate three of Evel Knievel’s iconic jumps this summer, including the legendary Caesars Palace Fountain leap. I’m sure he just lost a bet and has to do this, but we’ll get the details and planning for the latest Pastrana masterpiece.

Coach Robb is a longtime friend of the show and has been a valuable resource for our listeners over the many years. Make sure you check out his new podcast where he breaks down training, fitness and nutritional topics for every skill level. Robb will detail the MotoE Amateur Development Program and more tonight on the show.

#31 Reed, Osborne, Plessinger

Chad Reed has made a career of betting on himself and is going all-in again next year with his solo effort on a Husqvarna. Would you expect anything less from this maverick? Simply, Reed is a hunter and the new hunting season opens at Angel Stadium on January 6th.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Zach Osborne had one helluva 2017 after winning both the 250MX and 250SX East titles in dominant fashion. Unfortunately, that celebration is long over as his focus turns to defending the supercross title that begins in a few short weeks before making the jump to a 450 outdoors. We have a lot to cover tonight with our southern neighbor.

Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Aaron Plessinger is back on the bike after a recent surgery during the off-season to get an ongoing foot problem fixed. AP looks to build on a solid 2017 and eliminate those unforced errors that cost him a shot a championship. We love having this dude on with his awesome personality and smile so big you can see it even on the radio.

DMXS Radio thanks Coach Robb Beams, MyLucasOil.com, Moto Dynasty, SCOTT, Shades of Gray, Racer X, MX Sports, DUBYA Wheels, GoPro, OGIO, Concept2 Rowers for their continued support.

#10 – Kevin Windham – Zach Osborne – Robb Beams

It’s hard to quit Kevin Windham. There are some riders in our sport that transcend their record and time on the bike and KDub is certainly included in that elite club. Somehow four years have passed since his sudden retirement and I still wait for the spotlight to hit him in opening ceremonies for another epic transfer for the fans. Kevin is still heavily involved in the sport and his track Farm 14 is set to host an Area Qualifier for the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross

Championship in a few short weeks. We’ll get his thoughts on wearing a promoter’s hat and get his perspective on all of the supercross racing, too! There are certain milestone wins that can bring the collective fan base together no matter who your favorite rider is or who you were pulling for before the gate dropped. We had that two weeks ago with Marvin Musquin, and again in Atlanta when Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Zach Osborne won his first career supercross race. We’ve been on the long ride with Zach since his mini bike days and just had to get him on for this career moment in our hometown.

Coach Robb Beams has been part of the DMXS family for a long time and our listeners really appreciate his informative segments on the show. Robb is will be hosting a training and nutrition seminar at the Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at the Daytona International Speedway next week so we have a lot to cover with our good friend tonight.

DMXS Radio thanks Coach Robb Beams, Troy Lee Designs, Moto Dynasty, SCOTT, Shades of Gray, Racer X, MX Sports, DUBYA Wheels, GoPro, OGIO, Concept2 Rowers and Stellar MX Graphics for their continued support.
